Division 1 Report.
In Paperstation Malvern League Division 1 Pterodactyls claimed an excellent 8-2 victory against Manor Park Pumas thanks again to maximums from Wayne Chopping and Dave White, Graham Collier also contributed a win, Jon Dyke and Dave Knowles replied for Pumas. Ledbury Rovers defeated Ledbury Lions 6-4 thanks to 3 wins from James Dance who also teamed up with Ady Marshall to take the crucial doubles. Ady contributed 2 singles victories. Steve Meredith 2, Richard Smith and Patrick Kovacz 1 each replied for Lions. Crackpots E gained a superb 6-4 win against Manor Park Express this was a fine team effort with 2 wins each for Colin Dolding and Matt Hodges and 1 for Dave Steen. Dave and Colin combined to take the doubles against Pete Griffiths and Dale Dickenson. Pete and Dale took 2 singles each for Express.
Division 2 Report.
Scuttling Gang maintained their title challenge with a 7-3 victory against YMCA Vulcans thanks to another maximum from Richard McKenna, 2 wins from Chris Field and 1 from Bill Smith. Richard and Chris also took the doubles against John Cawthra and Richard Bennett. Vulcans wins came from Richard 2 and John. Manor Park Travellers maintained their 100% record with a 7-3 victory against Poolbrook Wanderers with Toby Wren again taking 3, Martin Snee 2 and Ken Hipwell 1. Toby and Martin also combined to take the doubles against Stan Mason and Rob Weston. Charlie Burford achieved 2 excellent wins most notably a rare defeat of Martin Snee in 5 sets, Stan earned Wanderers remaining victory. Manor Park Rangers defeated CSSC Nomads 8-2 thanks to a maximum from Richard Cullis and 2 wins each for Lawrence Dodds and Nick Haggar. Dave Hayes replied with 2 wins for Nomads. Upton Floods overcame X Police 6-4 thanks to 2 wins each for Pete Nash, Peter Quy and Mark Davies. Steve Mulka performed heroically for X Police taking all 3 singles and the doubles with Alan Preece against Mark and Pete.
Division 3 Report.
Manor Park Crackpots earned an excellent 7-3 victory against title chasing Crackpots B thanks to a superb maximums from Ed Palmer and Stephen Lindner, they also combined to take the doubles against Ted Cates and Alan Forsdike. Ted, Alan and Stan Ginn replied with singles wins for Crackpots D. Devils continue their promotion challenge with an 8-2 victory against Panthers thanks again to a maximum from Paul Lythgoe with 2 wins from Liz Hallam and Denis Chetwood. Ewan Gear and Ian Sage replied for Panthers. Tornados shared the points in a 5-5 draw with Crackpots D with 2 wins from Andy Banks and 1 each for Dominic Weston and Ethan Webb. Andy and Dominic also combined to take the doubles against James Palmer and Tim Dolding. James Palmer scored a superb maximum for Crackpots D with Bob Rhodes giving fine support with 2 wins to secure the draw.
