In Paperstation Malvern League Division 1 1st Divisionleaders CSSC Ramblers completed their fixtures with a 9-1 defeat of Ledbury Collection thanks to superb maximums from Chris Hewitt and Graham Thompson who also teamed up to take the doubles against Njgel Foreshew and Harry Jutle. They were ably supported by Alan Salisbury with 2 wins, Harry Jutle replied with 1 victory for Collection.  Broadheath Belters can still take the title if they win their games in hand and they maintained their strong recent form with an 8-2 win against Pterodactyls Old Boys with maximums from Sasha Grokhotov and Dave Harvey. Ben Bennett also contributed 2 victories, Wayne Chopping replied with 1 win for Old Boys, also combining with Dave White to defeat Sasha and Ben in the doubles. Manor Park Pumas eased their relegation fears with a 7-3 victory against Crackpots E thanks to a maximum from Geoff Woodward supported by Jon Dyke and Dave Knowles with 2 wins each. Matt Hodges was in fine form for Crackpots with 2 wins and teaming up with Dave Steen to take the doubles in straight sets against Geoff and Jon. Manor Park Express were unlucky to lose 6-4 against Ledbury Rovers losing 4 games in the 5th set, Ray Page twice to Bob Marshall and Jack Castle and Pete Griffiths and Dave Woodyatt one both against the unbeaten Ady Marshall. Jack 2 and Bob 1 earned Rovers’ other wins. Pete Griffiths 2 and Dave Woodyatt 1 responded for Express and they also combined to take the doubles against Ady and Jack.

 

In Division 2 Manor Park Rangers strengthened their bid for the runners up position with a 6-4 victory against a Upton Floods, Richard Cullis was in superb form taking his 3 singles and combining with Nick Haggar to take the doubles. Nick Haggar and Ethan Webb playing superbly on his Division 2 won a game each to secure the victory. Roger Davies and Howard Bentham making his Malvern League debut won 2 games each for Upton. Division 2 champions Manor Park Travellers defeated YMCA Vulcans 7-3 with a maximum from Martin Snee, 2 wins from Toby Wren and 1 from Pete Stevens, Martin and Toby also taking the doubles. Richard Bennett with an excellent win against Toby and Manuel Perel and Simon Harrison with victories against Pete replied for Vulcans.

 

In Division 3 the title race will go to the final matches of the season after wins for Tornados 9-1 against Abbeydowne thanks to maximums from Dominic Weston and Ethan Webb supported by Andy Banks with 2 wins, Niels Erikkson replying for Abbeydowne and Crackpots D 6-4 winners against Manor Park Crackpots. Bob Rhodes secured another maximum for Crackpots D and 2 wins for James Palmer, they also combined to take the doubles against Ed Palmer and Will Jones. Will 2, Ed 1 and Dina Murdle 1 replied for Manor Park Crackpots.
