In Paperstation Malvern League Division 1 YMCA Daredevils reinforced their title credentials with a 10-0 demolition of Manor Park Pumas with Wayne Chopping, Craig Preece and Svilen Andreev not dropping a set against Jon Dyke , Geoff Woodward and Dominic Weston who chose a challenging match for his 1st division debut. CSSC Ramblers kept up their challenge with a 6-4 win against Ledbury Rovers thanks to a maximum from Chris Hewitt and 2 from Graham Thompson who also combined to win the doubles.Bryan Farr 2 and Ady Marshall and James Dance 1 each replied for Rovers. Ledbury Collection defeated Ledbury Lions 7-3 with 2 wins each for Patryk Kovacz, Ann Barnes and Nigel Foreshew. Malvern college student ‘Nancy’ Yeh Tsz Yan was again unbeaten for Lions.
Division 2 Report
YMCA Vulcans enjoyed an excellent 8-2 victory against Manor Park Wanderers with a maximum for Richard Bennet supported by John Cawthra and Manual Peral with 2 wins each, Charlie Burford replied with 2 wins for Wanderers. Poolbrook Patriots defeated Tornados 6-4 with a maximum from Steve Glazzard who also combined with son James to take the doubles, Graham Collier also contributed 2 wins. Ethan Webb and Andy Banks with 1 win each and Dominic Weston 2 replied for Tornados. Poolbrook Phoenix defeated Scuttling Gang 6-4 thanks to 2 wins each for Steve Mulka and Matt White together with a single win for James Mulka, Ken Hipwell 2 supported by Bill Smith and Ray Davies with 1 each replied for Scuttling Gang. Poolbrook Dynamos enjoyed a narrow 6-4 win against Crackpots D thanks to maximums from John Phillips and Keith Bredin ,Frank Lane, James Palmer and Bob Rhodes replied for Crackpots James and Frank combined to win the doubles against Keith and Tom James.
Division 3 Report
Maximums from Charlie Burford and Nick Haggar supported by David Brown with 2 earned Rangers a 9-1 win against Crackpots B for whom Ted Cates gained a solitary success. Bromyard Eagles and Poolbrook Juniors shared a 5-5 draw. Steve Glazzard with 3 supported by Zoe Snee and Karl Richards with 1 each winning for Juniors but Clifford Knock and Neil Gladwin with 2 each and success in the doubles earned the draw. Stephen Lindner was again in fine form for Manor Park Crackpots winning his 3 and the doubles in the 6-4 victory against Poolbrook Phoenix 2nds,Ed Palmer and Bob Hunt earned the other wins. Will Jones and the promising Reece Taylor Locke won 2 each for Phoenix. Wombats defeated Panthers 7-3 thanks to a maximum from Pete Harding, 2 from Ralph Cook and 1 from Denis Chetwood. Ewan Gear with 2 and Ian Sage with 1 replied for Panthers. CSSC Nomads also enjoyed a 7-3 win against Abbeydowne with Dave Hayes maintaining his 100% record supported by Adrian Fray with 2 and Ed Palmer 1, Niels Eriksson 2 and Chris Burrows 1 replied for Abbeydowne.
