In Paperstation Malvern League Division 1 YMCA Daredevils maintained their 100% record with a 7-3 victory against Ledbury Collection thanks to maximums from Svilen Andreev and Craig Preece, Nigel Foreshew, Patryk Kovacs and Ann Barnes replied with single wins for Collection against Dominic Weston who continued his rapid development playing up from Division 2. Manor Park Pumas shared a 5-5 draw with Manor Park Travellers for whom Geoff Burford played superbly to earn a maximum supported by 1 from Martin Snee who also enjoyed success in the doubles with Toby Wren. Dave Hallam and Geoff Woodward with 2 and Jon Dyke with one replied for Pumas. CSSC Ramblers kept up their title challenge with a 6-4 win against struggling Manor Park Express with maximums for Chris Hewitt and Graham Thompson, Ray Page, Pete Griffiths and Dave Woodyatt replied for Express and Dave and Pete also combined Griffiths to inflict a rare doubles loss for Chris and Graham.
Division 2 Report
Crackpots D defeated YMCA Vulcans 6-4 thanks to maximums from Simon Morgan and Kyle Day, Richard Bennet, John Cawthra and Simon Harrison replied with single wins for Vulcans. Tornados shared a 5-5 draw with Devils for whom Dave Knowles won 3 and Jim Ahern 2, David Brown 2 and Ethan Webb and Dominic Weston with 1 each replied for Tornados also combining to take the doubles against Dave Knowles and Liz Hallam. Scuttling Gang defeated Poolbrook Patriots 6-4 thanks to a superb maximum from Richard McKenna supported by Richard Cullis and Ken Hipwell with 1 each. Graham Collier and Steve Glazzard replied with 2 wins each for Patriots. Manor Park Wanderers were beaten 8-2 by Poolbrook Dynamos for whom John Phillips and Keith Bredin secured maximums supported by Tom James with 2 ,Barry Barwick with 1 and the doubles with Phil Smethurst replied for Wanderers. Bromyard Kestrels enjoyed an 8-2 victory against Poolbrook Phoenix thanks to a maximum from Ed Tinton supported by Brian Kitchener and David Gwilt with 2. Steve Mulka and James Mulka with 1 each replied for Phoenix.
Rangers proved too strong for Abbeydowne winning 9-1 with David Brown and Dave Bradley winning all 3 and Nick Haggar 2, Chris Burrows replying for Abbeydowne. Bromyard Eagles defeated CSSC Nomads 7-3 with a maximum from Rob Wilcox supported by Clifford Knck with 2 and Martin Gwilt with 1 Dave Hayes replied with 2 and Dave Clarke 1 for Nomads. Wombats defeated Manor Park Crackpots 7-3 with 3 for Pete Harding supported by Denis Chetwood with 2 and Ralph Cook 1, Stephen Lindner 2 and Tim Dolding 1 win enjoyed victories for Crackpots. Panthers beat fellow Poolbrook side Phoenix 9-1 who were only able to field 2 players , Ewan Gear,Ian Sage and Dina Murdle won both their games but Alan Holmes and Reece Taylor Locke were able to win the doubles for Phoenix. Crackpots B defeated Poolbrook Juniors 6-4 with Ted Cates winning his 3 games aided by Alan Forsdyke with 2 and Stan Ginn 1. Karl Richards demonstrated his continuing development with 2 wins for Juniors supported by Zoe Snee with 1.
