Mixed week for the Rebels with a 7-3 victory over the early league leaders then losing 9-1 to Boothys.
Bob Angus was in dominant form as last year’s runners up recorded the biggest Division 2 victory of the season so far with a 9-1 win over Ravenshead Rebels. Derek Clarke also won all his games. Val Tully gained the Rebels their solitary point on the night.
Phil Parkin preserved his personal 100% record but unfortunately this was not enough to see the early leaders fall to the Ravenshead Rebels losing 7-3. Jim Westwood of the Rebels made his Mansfield League debut and came away with a credible start winning 2 singles and the doubles for his team.
Roy Drew guided Hucknall 50+ to their 1st win of the season with a 6-4 victory over NewCross Snipers, Roy winning all his singles and the doubles with Dick Johnson. The match was nip and tuck all the way through with the Snipers taking a 3-1 lead, but Hucknall fought back and took the win with a narrow 3-2 victory in the Doubles coming back from 2-1 behind.
