MATCH WEEK 13 Results

Division 1 Cup

1.– Zygabyte A  bt Ravenshead Riots  - 8-2  -  P.O.M – Dean Brookes

2.– Jacksdale A   bt  Jacksdale C  - 7-3  -  P.O.M – Kalpesh Bhatt

3.– Ravenshead Rascals  bt  Zygabyte B    -  8-2  -  P.O.M –  Conrad Stoddart

Player of the Match Dean Brookes, his 5th out of 6 games this season, helped the leaders stay top with an 8-2 victory over Ravenshead Riots with a faultless performance winning all his singles 3-0 and also with Joe Zygadlo ( who also won all his matches too ) won the doubles 3-0.

This puts Zygabyte A 3 points ahead of Ravenshead Rascals but having played  game more, should be an interesting battle to the end between these 2 teams.

Junior Stoddart maintained his 100% record and led the Ravenshead Rascals to an 8-2 victory over Zygabyte B and kept the Rascals unbeaten for the season.  Rascals are looking strong to do the division 1 and Division 1 Cup double but Division 1 is definitely a 3 horse race.

Jacksdale A maintained their 100% record winning 4 out of 4 so far this season and keeps them in touching distance from the top 2. Player of the match Kalpesh Bhatt led the team to a 7-3 victory over Jacksdale C. All 3 players for Jacksdale C won 1 point for the team, but Jacksdale A were too strong on the night.

Division 2

1. Zygabyte Old Bats bt  Hucknall 50+ – 8-2  -  P.O.M – Matthew Williams

2. New Cross Snipers  bt Boothy’s Ravens    -  8-2  -  P.O.M – Erlands Skels

3. Boothys  bt Ravenshead Rebels – 9-1  -  P.O.M –  Stuart Chadwick

4.  Ravenshead Angels  bt Jacksdale D – 0-0  -  P.O.M –  RESULT PENDING

Zygabyte Old Bats stayed top with a strong performance against Hucknall 50+, and remain unbeaten in 2015 with 3 wins out of 3 in January.

However with Boothys & Rhinos both with 2 games in hand, the title is looking like it could go all the way this year.

Player of the Match Matt Williams was the only player to win all his games, but was backed up well by Rob Vaughan & Glynn Payne in this win.

Boothy's moved up to 2nd and now only 6 points behind the leaders with 2 games in hand, with a 9-1 win over Ravenshead Rebels.

Player of the Match Stuart Chadwick and Bob Angus both scored maximums for Boothy's with Rod Sampson winning 2 matches. But spare a thought for Jim Westwood who won Rebels one point but it could easily have been three as both his defeats came in very tight 5 game matches.

New Cross Snipers beat Ravenshead Ravens 8-2 to move 3rd, Erlands Skels in only his 2nd match for the Snipers got player of the match winning all his games and winning the doubles with Tony Swain. Andy Bunting won the 2 points for the Ravens.
