Cliff posted another victory but it was a hard fought 8,2 win. It didn't get off to the brightest starts for Cliff with Cumberland youngster Abbie Hurley showing all her class against skippy, winning in four, all the legs very close. . In the second match, Trevor Towers looked like he might shock Chris Drury, blazing into a 7,3 lead in the first before the Cliff player showed all his experience to come back and win 11.9 and then triumph in four. 1990 medway champion Alan Longhurst is one player who makes the game look easy, and this match was no exception, posting a another three leg maximum. Chris Drury then outclassed Jamie Somerset and was then involved in the match of the night against Abbie Hurley, the youngster saving two match points in the fourth and taking it to a decider. The momentum seemed to have shifted with Chris Drury looking down the barrell at 9,6, but the veteran never knows when he is beaten, to edge it 11,9.  Chris Drury and Dave McAulay kept their fine record of doubles victories up, with a three leg win over Trevor Towers and Abbie Hurley to secure the eight points
