With a 10-0 victory over Ormesby D, Swerve A has taken the lead at the top of the Middlesbrough and District Table Tennis League.  The victory was as the score line suggests, with all 10 sets won by Alec Ward, Josh Harland and Jemal Mohamed in 3 straight games. 

The match between another two contenders, Ormesby A and Swerve B was won by the Ormesby team 7-3, with hat tricks from Dave Ashwell and Joe Cope.  David Gofton with 1 win completed the Ormesby line up beating Mark Simon in straight games.  Jevon Chan and Andy Wilson both beat David Gofton and then combined to win the doubles for Swerve. 

Ormesby B maintained their interest in the championship race with a 9-1 victory over Ormesby C, with hat ricks from Thomas Rayner and Carl White.  Lewis Cadden won two for Ormesby B, whilst Jack Dewar won the single C team point. 

In the closet match of the week in the first division, Nunthorpe A drew 5-5 with Swerve C, two wins each from Phil Webster and Dave Williams.  James Hill and Stuart Park both won two each for Swerve C. 

Nunthorpe A scored a good win over East Cleveland A with hat tricks from Dave Williams and Nicky Corking.  Steve Souter and David Pashley replied for East Cleveland. 

Beaumont B won their first match of the season against East Cleveland A by 7-3, mainly due to a hat trick from Kevin Linsley, David Pashley also won two for East Cleveland.
