Last weeks’ matches in the Middlesbrough and District Table Tennis League concentrated on the Knockout Handicap Cup Third Round, where East Cleveland A scored a very narrow victory over Nunthorpe A winning by 5 sets to 4.  Paul Flanagan was the star of the match scoring a hat trick for East Cleveland, while Ray Darcy and Hugh Williams both scored 1 each.

For Nunthorpe Eileen Robinson produced the best performance winning two of her sets whilst Glynn Robinson and David Williams won one each.

In another close match, Beaumont Nomads B scored 5-3 victory over Ormesby L.  Kevin Linsley and Robert Evans both won two each for Nomads; whilst Barry Pearson won one.  Marie Edwards produced the best performance for Ormesby winning two of her three sets.

Ormesby K progressed to the next round with a 5-1 victory against Ormesby H.  Eve Witterick and Jonah Hannaway did well for Ormesby K to win two each, whilst Ryan Davis won one.
