With a 9-1 victory over Swerve E, Ormesby F have secured their position at the top of Division 2 of the Middlesbrough and District Table Tennis League.  This win was achieved with three wins from John McCullow and Michael McMahon, whilst Tom Hand won two losing only to Kenneth Dinsdale.   

Ormesby’s main challenger for the title Beaumont Accountancy Nomads A, improved their chances with a 10-0 victory against Ormesby I in which Bruce Lowther, Jayne Lynas and Malcolm Noble all won their sets by comfortable margins. 

The team in 3rd place East Cleveland, stayed on track for their title hopes following suit with a 10-0 victory over Ormesby K with hat tricks from Albert Wilson, Colin Charity and Huw Williams. 

Ormesby F are marginally the title favourites with 71 points from 9 matches played, whilst Beaumont Accountancy Nomads are 2nd with 60 from 8 and East Cleveland who are very much in contention for the title have 58 from 8.
