Swerve C with a 7-3 victory over Beaumont Accountancy Nomads A in last weeks fixtures in the 1st Division of the Middlesbrough and District Table Tennis League have put a significant dent in their opponents hopes to  win the division.

With two wins each from Martin Rutter, Sam Bailey and Andy Wilson, with Rutter and Wilson winning the doubles, achieved the seven wins to give Swerve the victory.  For Beaumont Steve Cooper produced the biggest resistance winning two of his sets, whilst Anthony Phoenix won one, and Mark Walpole lost all of his three sets.
