WEEK 5 REPORT
Performance of the week was by Christine Milne with a hard fought maximum for Thatcham Hawks against Inkpen Insufferables which kept Hawks 100% record Her wins included two final set 12-10 victories and a 11-9 fourth set win . She also with paired with Geoff Eldred to win the doubles. Eldred won two as did Bob Nash for Insufferables . Hawks won the match 6-4
Kintbury Outlaws are the main challengers and had a comfortable 10-0 win over Thatcham Dragons with John Tanner , David Rawlings and David Rees all unbeaten.
Thatcham Choppers defeated Thatcham Spitfires 9-1 with Jeremy Skelton and Ian Whiting getting hat tricks and Dan Thomas a double .
Thatcham C continue their winning ways by recording an 8-2 win against Thatcham A and E. Ly Bao Tuyen won all three whilst Ray Beeks and Jeff Caddy both had two wins each. Loraine Mortimer had both A and E's wins .
Thatcham Spartans had a good victory at Woolton Hill against Wombats although some close matches the result was 8-2 . Martin Gilbey had a maximum with Celia Hooker and Eric Panting getting two wins each. Simon Sonsino won twice for Wombats.
Thatcham Lions could only field two players but still managed a draw with Kintbury Cobra's Jeff Rogers and Phil Jones had 2 wins each and teamed up to take the doubles but none could match Cobra's Ian Wu who remains unbeaten this season
Ashford Hill Misfits and Thatcham Scorpions had a close match with Misfits just coming out on top by 6-4 Denise Weller had a maximum and Wendy Porter a double and together they also won the doubles. Bill Stamatiou won twice for Scorpions including a deciding leg against Porter .
Ashford Hill Ramblers kept at top of the league with an 8-2 win over Jog .Three each from Sam Ricks and Paul Rattue saw off a spirited performance from Jog and they nearly snatched a point when Mark Wheeler lost 11-9 in the fifth to Terry White.
Thatcham Nomads got three points when they beat Upton Ultraviolets 7-3 with Nat Richardson on form to get a treble with Alan Duke and Kevin Brooker getting a couple each Matt Davies got two for Upton and he also played his part in the doubles win .
Thatcham A had a comfortable night beating two man Woolton Hill Badgers 10-0 with Richard Rosiski John Golding and Dave Wise winning all their matches in straight sets with only the doubles going to five.
Woolton Hill Eagles also got maximum points after defeating Thatcham Thunder 9-1 Antony Baker and Ian Langley won all three and Keith Langley two .
Joseph Cornmell and Patrick Garlick won all their matches for Thatcham Colts as they beat AWE Fission 7-3 as well as being partners in their doubles success
