NDTTA CLOSED CHAMPIONSHIPS JUNIORS
Held at Kennet School Thatcham over Saturday and Sunday
Saturday was Juniors day
Top seed Eddie Haines of Thatcham Table Tennis Club and Trinity School survived an early scare against Thatcham's Kar Ho to take the under 17 singles title beating Mark Cheung in the final. 

In the Under 15 singles semi final Archie Dyson (Woolton Hill TTC) squeezed through against fellow Park House School student and Woolton Hill clubmate Sam Coyne in five close games. In the final Dyson beat the red shirted Ben Djeckic to take the title.

In the Under 13 singles Thatcham Table Tennis Club's Jason Agar who attends St Barts beat his school mate Luc Ashton from Woolton Hill Table Tennis Club. Ashton had done tremendously well to reach the final after coming from 2 games down in his semi to beat Ollie Barnby.

The under 11 title was retained by Thatcham's Hayley Gray with eight year old Beth Palazuelos (woolton Hill TTC)the runner up. Gray also won the Girls Singles with Newbury's Holly Brown the runner up.

The best final of the day was the junior doubles won by steady play from Tom Lewis and Matt Smith against Dyson and Max McDougall (Park House School/Woolton Hill TTC.

The tournament concluded with a victory for the reigning Newbury Mens Champion Sam Ricks partnered with Tom Lewis in the junior adult doubles with Eddie Haines and his adult partner Andy Jeffrey taking the runners up spot.

The Langley Cup for Sportsmanship was awarded by Mrs Margaret Langley to Daniel Hyde.
