WEEK 12 REPORt
The top two met in an epic battle with Thatcham C just edging out Thatcham Lions 6-4 but many matches could have gone either way. Ray Beeks won all three for the C team coming back from 2-1 down to beat Peter Erlich 11-7 in decider in the last match to seal the win.Ly Bao Tuyen also had two comebacks from two sets doen against Eddie Haines he won 13-11 in the fifth and was 2-1 down against Phil Jones and won 12-10 in the last. Erlich was Lions best with two wins
Meanwhile Thatcham Spartans took over top spot with a 9-1 win over Thatcham A and E with Eric Panting and Nigel Cooper winning three each and Celia Hooker two . They are only one point ahead od Thatcham C though who have two games in hand and two points ahead of Lions who have played one less
Fourth placed Ashford Hill Misfits defeated Thatcham Scavengers 9-1 but the score doesn't reflect the match as there were so close games. Wendy Porter and Denise Weller both had maximums and Simon Craig won two.
Ian Wu won all three for Kintbury Cobra's but his side still went down 7-3 to Woolton Hill Wombats fpr whom Jonathan Hopson , Simon Sonsino and Robin Burns all won twice.
Thatcham Scorpions are on a good run and beat Thatcham X 9-1 with Bill Stamatiou and Simon Barter hetting hat tricks and Darren Harper a brace.
Leaders Thatcham Hawks are stuttering a little and lost their first match to Thatham Choppers who have moved up the table to second place with a 6-4 victory with Jeremy Skelton winning three and Ian Whiting two and the two of them winning a close doubles match. Ian Dickason was Hawks best with a double.
Woolton Hill Woodpeckers are improving with every match and were victorious by 9-1 against Rosemoor Archie Dyson and Adrian Dray both won all their matches and Max MacDougall won two including a 12-10 final set win over Chris Parish
Inkpen Insufferables beat Thatcham Spitfires with Rob Sim getting a treble and Tom Kelly a double including an 11-9 decider against Ben Haines. John Panting won two for Spitfires and Christine Haines got her first win.
Thatcham Dragons new signing Sajish Pavitnran won all three against Woolton Hill Racketeers giving them a 6-4 win Judy Piper and Panos Stemi won twice for the losers.
Thatcham A defeated Thatcham Colts by 7-3 with Richard Rosinski getting a maximum and Tony Brown two.Colts Patrick Garlick won twice
Woolton Hill Eagles Ian Langley won all three when his side beat Upton Ultraviolets 8-2 with Antony Baker and Keith Langley backing him with two wins each
Jog beat Thatcham Thunder 10-0 with Mark Wheeler Peter Sinyard and Adam Pacyna all playing well . Sinyard only just getting his three with a 11-9 final set win over Spencer Harvey
AWE Fission could only field two players against Woolton Hill Badgers and lost 7-3. Andy Moore was undefeated for Badgers
