WEEK 14 REPORT
Ashford Hill Ramblers march on towards the title with a 9-1 victory over Woolton Hill Badgers with Sam Ricks, Paul Rattue and John Goodyer all unbeaten . Only blip was in the doubles which they lost in four.
Thatcham Nomads who are chasing second place with a couple more beat Kintbury Jog by 7-3 . Ray Powell got a maximum and Kevin Brooker a double and they won the doubles in five . Powell had to come from two sets down against Adam Pacyna winning 11-9 in the decider. Pacyna won twice for Jog.
Thatcham Colts had a big win over Thatcham Thunder winning 10-0 .There were trebles for Patrick Garlick ,Joseph Cornmell and Celia Hooker who was playing up from the Second Division This moves Colts to the middle of the table
AWE Fission snatched a point when winning the last singles against Upton Ultraviolets making the final score 7-3 to Upton. Matt Davies and Mike Aistrop both won all three for Upton but Aistrop had to fight to win 15-13 in the fifth set against Bob Harris.
Ashford Hill Misfits have gradually been moving up the table and by defeating Thatcham Spartans leap frogged them and Thatcham Lions into second place. Denise Weller had a maximum and Simon Craig won two with Nigel Cooper getting two for Spartans .
Kintbury Cobra's just got the win by 6-4 against Thatcham Scavengers with Ian Wu winning all three . Thereasa Watson was Scavengers best with two wins. Chris Watson was the hero for Cobra's after being two sets down against Isaac Davies won 12-10 in the last set .
Thatcham Hawks remain top but they are dropping points which is enabling a pack of four to slowly close in Hawks drew 5-5 with Woolton Hill Woodpeckers who are fifth but with games in hand . Archie Dyson had a fine hat trick for Woodpeckers and Adrain Dray a double.Geoff Eldred won two for Hawks .
Thatcham Choppers moved into third place two points behind Kintbury Outlaws by beating them 7-3 with both Jeremy Skelton and Ian Whiting recording maximums and also winning the doubles together. Match of the night was Whiting's recovery from two sets down to beat David Rawlings 18-16 in the decider.
West Ilsley B who are fourth also dropped two points when they drew with Thatcham Dragons .Sajish Pavithran kept his unbeaten record for Dragons by winning all three .Dave Langton and Steve Cobrin both had two victories for Ilsley .
Inkpen Insufferables had a 7-3 win away to Woolton Hill Racketeers with trebles for Steve Connors and Bob Nash who also won the doubles together.
