WEEK 17 REPORT
Ashford Hill Ramblers clinched the title with a 6-4 win over nearest rivals Woolton Hill Eagles There was a hat trick from Sam Ricks and a double from Paul Rattue and together they won the doubles.Antony Baker won twice for Eagles.
Thatcham Nomads are now out of the running for second place after Thatcham Thunder beat them 6-4 with Csaba Pall winning three for the victors including an 11-8 final game against .Ray Powell. Powell had a double for Nomads
Thatcham A could now get second place after defeating two man AWE Fission 9-1 with maximums from Richard Rosinski and John Golding .
Kintbury Jog and Upton Ultraviolets fought out a draw with Matt Davies and John Talbot winning two each for Upton and Dom Cutter doing likewise for Jog The last game of the evening saw Matt Insherwood beat Pete Sinyard 15-13 in the decider to earn his side 2 points .
Thatcham Colts won 8-2 away to Woolton Hill Badgers with Patrick Garlick and Joseph Cornmell doing the damage with three wins each and also winning the doubles.
Woolton Hill Wombats who have been moving up the table had mixed fortunes in the last week First beating Thatcham A and E 8-2 losing to second place Thatcham Lions 9-1 then beating the leaders Thatcham C 7-3. Against A and E Simon Sonsino won all three while Johnathan Hopson and Robin Burns won twice. Lions Eddie Haines and Peter Erlich both had maximums against them and Phil Jones got a double .They bounced back however against the leaders with a Sonsino treble and two from Hopson .
Isaac Davies had a great treble for Thatcham Scavengers when they played Thatcham Scorpions but his side still lost by 6-4 Scavengers Dean Mustill and Simon Barter won two apiece .
Kintbury Cobras had a 6-4 victory over Thatcham A and E mainly due to Ian Wu being unbeaten. For the losers Lorraine Mortimer and Phil Ware both had two wins.
Table toppers Thatcham Hawks were brought down to earth with an inspired performance from Thatcham Spitfires who held them to a draw John Panting won three and two 5 sets wins for Ben Haines earned them two points . Arthur Smith was Hawks best with a double.
Thatcham Choppers move into third place with games in hand but they had to fight to beat off Thatcham Dragons 6-4 with a Jeremy Skelton maximum just getting home against Sajish Pavithran who was previous unbeaten.Ian Whiting won two.
Dragons also lost 6-4 against Inkpen Insufferables despite Pavthran being unbeaten Insufferables Bob Nash and Steve Connors won two each.
Kintbury Outlaws are clinging on to second spot and had a good 9-1 win over Rosemoor or though there were some close matches.but John Tanner and David Rawlings were both unscathed .
West Ilsley B players Lionel Sheppard, Dave Langton and Dercyk Crossley all won two each when they defeated Woolton Hill Racketeers 7-3 but none could match Sthiven Pinilla who was unbeated for Racketeers .
