Kintbury Titans are now top after defeating Upton Ultraviolets 7-3 even though Matt Davies had a maximum for Upton . Two wins each for Glen Freeman Nat Richardson and Tom Watmore secured three points Watmore only just losing to Davies 10-12 in decider.
Ashford Hill Ramblers are up to second one point behind with three games in hand and look certain to take the title .Although injured Sam Ricks just kept his 100% record in Ramblers 6-4 win over a strong Woolton Hill Badgers team and he was backed up with a double from Paul Rattue.Malcolm Cummins won twice for Badgers Ricks had to come from two sets down to beat Richard Fettes in the fifth.
JOG dropped to third after being well beaten 8-2 by Thatcham A who are now themselves aiming for runners up spot. Andy Barnes got a treble with Richard Rosinski and Tony Brown scoring twice in some close contests Thatcham A lie fifth with games in hand.
Woolton Hill Eagles are in 4th place and had two wins first against Woolton Hill Badgers who they beat 6-4 with doubles from Antony Baker and Ian Langley but none could match Malcolm Cummings three for Badgers but a vital win by Eagles 13-11 in fifth set of the doubles gave Eagles victory
Eagles had an easier win over Thatcham C with Ian Langley and Barry Ross having maximums and Johathan Hopson winning twice Langley coming back from 1-2 to beat Nestor Ceron in final set was the game of the night.
Thatcham Lions fought out a draw with Thatcham Colts mainly thanks to three wins from Patrick Garlick and his contribution in the doubles with Eddie Haines .For Colts Joseph Cornmell and Keith Russell both had two wins and Daniels Rivett's 5th set win over Jeff Rogers earned them the draw.
None of the tops sides could win this week Leaders AWE Fission could only field two players and lost 6-4 to bottom team Woolton Hill Wombats even though John McLarty won all his games for them.. Wombats Johnathan Hopson and Ion Milhalia both won twice and won the doubles to get the win.
Second placed Thatcham Scorpions also lost 6-4 to Woolton Hill Wildcats for whom Alan Fuller had a fine treble including a five setter against Bill Stamatiou Archie Dyson also won two for Wildcats while Stamatiou was Scorpions best with a double
The third and fourth teams Jeffernauts and Thatcham Spartans were locked in a draw with Teifon Chamberlain scoring a maximum for Jeffernauts and Malcolm Record and Celia Hooker winning two apiece for Spartans
Thatcham Scavengers are next after beating off Thatcham Choppers 6-4 with Bob Lynch, Thereasa Watson and Spencer Harvey all winning twice but Sourabh Dubey was man of the match winning all his games for Choppers
Choppers had better success .when they won 6-4 at Kintbury Cobra's with another maximum for Sourabh Dubey with Ian Wu and Chris Watson winning two each for Cobra's
Cobra's also lost to Ashford Hill Misfits with a maximum for Misfits Simon Craig and two from Wendy Porter doing the damage Ian Wu replying with two for Cobra's
Leaders Inkpen Insufferables didn't have it all their own way against the young Thatcham Tornadoes team but won 7-3 in the end with two wins each from Bob Nash Steve Connors and Tom Kelly .Abeil Talwar won twice for the Tornanoes only just losing his third match to Kelly 12-10 in the decider.
Kintbury Outlaws who are second lost to third placed West Ilsley B 6-4 Steve Cobrin and Lionel Sheppard both won two and teamed up to win the doubles Outlaws David Rawlings won all three but could not get the win for his side.
Thatcham Spitfires had a good victory over Thatcham Hawks with John Panting getting a hat trick and Pat Shaw a double although he had to work hard against Dave Norman winning 11-8 in the fifth set Christine Milne won two for Hawks
Thatcham A and E are still playing with only two players but still managed to defeat Woolton Hill Racketeers 6-4 with Mick Buley winning all three of his matches and Lorraine Mortimer two and winning the doubles together.
Woolton Hill Woodpeckers had their first win of the season which took them out of bottom spot when they beat Thatcham Dragons 7-3 with a maximum from Ben Djekic and two from Dan Hyde . Dragons Matt McMahon got two of their wins
