We were back

We had a pretty successful return to the table last night at Teign School.  Everyone there bought in to the many measures that were in place for players safety which ensured a Covid free safe environment. Although Covid free I should imagine there are a few aches and pains this morning for those who picked up a bat for the first time in seven months!

I am very keen to see as many of you playing as possible over the coming weeks and can assure you all we are doing everything possible to make the environment safe for your return.  As more of you join in we will increase the number of tables by hiring more space at Teign, so please don’t feel as though you are stopping others from playing by taking up a space.

To enable the Friday night session to run smoothly and to vacate our premises by 10pm we require the Sports Hall on Saturday mornings to dismantle and pack away all the equipment. So we will be re-starting the Saturday morning session from next Saturday 17th October.  This will be a single 2-hour session from 9:30 – 11:30 at a cost of £4 / adults, £3 / juniors.  You may block book a number of weeks for the morning session with a discount if you book 4 consecutive weeks (4 sessions for the price of 3).  As it will be much quieter you may book a table for the whole session with an opponent or two, or we can place you in a bubble of up to 6 players.  We will allow a limited number of walk-ins, however it is recommended you book to ensure your place as walk-ins will not be accepted if we are full.

So there are plenty of opportunities to dust down that bat and get moving again.  It would be really good if you could help support the club through this difficult time by joining in any of our sessions.
