Although certain COVID restrictions are still in place, the good news is that the necessity to book your table tennis sessions is no longer required.
The area we book at Teign School will accommodate up to 45 players. During the summer months, pre COVID, 30 players was usually as many as we had on a Friday evening, with generally no more than 20 on a Saturday morning.
It has therefore been decided that social distancing can effectively be carried out / controlled without the necessity to book.
Covid measures in place:
- NHS Track & Trace details to be provided
- You must bring your own equipment & refreshments
- You must bring the correct cash for your session
- Social distancing rules to be adhered to
- No doubles or hand shakes
- Use hand sanitiser regularly throughout the session
- Arrive and depart wearing a face covering
The timing of the sessions has been relaxed so you may turn up and play against anyone from 6:30-10:00pm on a Friday night and from 9:30-11:30am on Saturday morning.
Currently the fee for Friday nights is £5 adults (£3 juniors) for up to 3 1/2 hours, with a slight reduction to £4 adults on a Saturday morning.
We would love to see a few more of you return to the table as we look forward to getting back to normality and prepare for the 2021-22 league season.
