BLISLAND go into the Christmas break four points clear in Division One of the North Cornwall Table Tennis League after securing a 5-5 draw at home to Helland A.
Robert Thompson was again in fine form for the league leaders, winning all three of his matches in four sets.
Mike Fisher and Ritchie Bartlett both won their other two singles as well as winning the doubles together.
North Hill have jumped from fifth to second after securing two comprehensive victories.
On Wednesday night they won 7-3 at Torridge in a re-arranged fixture while on Thursday they eased to an 8-2 success over Crackington A, who were missing Frank Barnes.
At Torridge, Adrian Davis and Martin Hynes won two each for the visitors while Shirley Luckhurst won all three in straight sets. Home skipper Pete Freeburn beat Davis and Hynes.
Luckhurst maintained her 100% winning start to the campaign against Crackington as she again went through the evening without dropping a set. Hynes also won all three while Ross Wilmhurst and Judith Cook both earned consolation victories.
Helland B are now ten points clear in Division Two after a 7-3 success over Launceston despite missing skipper, Steve Lehan.
David Maclennan and David Hughes enjoyed perfect evenings in the singles and doubles, while all three Launceston players earned a win.
At Budehaven, Trevor Luckhurst won all three matches in an evening for the first time as North Hill B beat Budehaven B 7-3.
Captain Michael Kinger did likewise while for Budehaven, brothers Anthony and Andrew Ward won one match each.
Crackington B remain bottom-of-the-table after a 7-3 defeat at undefeated Altarnun.
Paul Burden extended his record to 16 wins from 18 games as he won all three games while Paul Seez, standing in for injured captain Keiron Chatterjea, beat Simon Holmes and Alex Whitfield.
Holmes did win in his other two outings to make it four wins in the last two weeks.
In Division Three there were three whitewashes as North Hill C, Bridgerule A and Helland C all earned 5-0 victories.
As a result, Helland jump from sixth to third while just one point separates North Hill C and Bridgerule A at the summit.
