Top Spin conceded to Herons
There were some really close ties in round 1. None closer than Smugglers 5-4 win over Littleham in which 5 of the matches went to a third set.
Nets and Edges were 3-1 up against Chulmleigh B but went down 5-3. Balls of Fury had a good win at Chulmleigh A. The score looks easy but 5 matches went to a deciding set.
Chulmleigh Chiefs held their nerve in the tight ones to carve out an 8 -1 result over Despicables.
Holsworthy D made the most use of their handicaps against local rivals Holsworthy A. The same can also be said of Dolphins who took on 'top of the league' Misfits and won in a canter. The Vice were largely untroubled against Paddlers.
