Week 23 Report

Division 2 Round-up

A reminder from Michael Sussex – if you were lucky enough to win a trophy last year, please can you get it back to him asap! Thanks.

First and foremost – congratulations to Chulmleigh B who have an unassailable lead in the division.  They have certainly been the strongest and most consistent team and fully deserve the title.  Having said that, their last two results have been a defeat and a draw!  The draw, against Holsworthy B, and the defeat 7-3 against Simply Smashing, who have had a strong second half of the season.

Paddlers have been picking up good wins recently and are favourites for the runner-up spot.  They have an 11 point lead over Holsworthy B though admittedly have played a game more.  In the last two weeks they have picked up 19 points against Dolphins and Littleham.

West Buckland have been picking up points too. 10-0  against Despicables and 7-3 against Holsworthy C.

Not picking up points are Minions, which for me is all very sad!  Holsworthy A, for whom Owen Salisbury is getting ever stronger, put us to the sword 9-1.  There were some great games though, and it could have been closer.

A mention must go to Dolphins who put in a great performance to beat Chulmleigh Chiefs 6-4.

Date for your diary – Chulmleigh Chiefs are playing Holsworthy A in the final of the Ramsey at Monkleigh on Monday 23 April starting at 19:30.
