Smash and Grab at Littleham!

Torrington A have a mere 3 point lead over Misfits in division 1, while Chulmleigh A are struggling to make up the gap at the foot of the table. In division 2, Chulmleigh B are holding on to a 9 point lead over Holsworthy B.

Torrie had a good 9-1 win over Balls of Fury. Ben Taylor won all three and there was a great contribution of two wins for stand in Dave Salisbury.

Spin Doctors racked up a solid victory over Chulmleigh A for whom Kevin Davies and Harry Collins played up a division. The Doctors won all the singles then were beaten in the doubles.

Matthew Thomas provided some stout resistance against Misfits winning his side's two points, but Misfits ran out 8-2 winners. Daniel Moore clearly in a good run of form was unbeaten on the night.


Div 2 leaders Chulmleigh A showed no mercy to bottom club Dolphins with a 10-0 win. The trio of Shaun Clarke Harry Collins and Gerard O'Boyle didn't drop a game all night though Mike Fawcett came close.

Simply Smashing left it very late to seal a win at Littleham, securing a 6-4 win through a 13-11 fifth game in the doubles! James Raymont, on form at present, won all three with a supporting two from Rhys Eyles.

Paddlers won 7-3 against West Buckland. Rob Gale provided a resilient 3 points for the vistors, while Alan Briggs with 2 provided the main resistance.

Minions also won 7-3 – against Despicables. Dave Andrews led the home team to victory, especially in a hard fought win over Malc Overson. He, in turn, won his other matches and is clearly in a good run of form.

Holsworthy B's trio of Dave Streak, Barry Stearman and Jeremy Rickman were too strong for the Vice – running off with 10 points in the bag.
