The vets Singles was played on 31 March at Tarka with 8 players taking part. Two round robin seeded groups with the top two in each progressing to the Semi - Finals. Each match was 3 games played so every game won would count.

Group one was Paul Laverty, Matthew Thomas, David Ewen & Ian Rice. Paul was in fine form and won his matches without a loss. David Ewen defeated Matthew 2-1 to progress in second place to the semis.

Group two saw Martyn Beer, Wim Faassen, Gerald Luscombe & Mike Hill battle it out. Martyn and Wim progressed with Wim taking top stop by virtue of a 2-1 win over Martyn.

The semis, played best of 5 legs, saw Paul on his A game sweeping aside Martyn 11-1 11-4 & 11-3. The other semi was a titanic battle with David showing the form he carried all evening but he was just edged out by Wim who had to come back from 2 games to one down to progress to the final via a 9-11 12-10 7-11 11-9 11-9 win.

Paul was in no mood to hang around in the final and came out 3-0 winner to take the title 11-7 11-4 11-4.
