League update 11th November
The two bottom sides in the Premier Division of the Northumbria League, the Reivers and Unionist Club, could not be separated when they met at Cramlington. Nigel Rodgers and Duncan Wraight got the home team off to a good start,  winning the first two sets, Micky Grimes got one for the visitors then Wraight made it 3 – 1. The next three , however, all went to the visitors with Dave Cutler and Grimes combining to take the doubles and then winning both of their singles. Wraight  completed his hat-trick to level matters and Gareth Pearson edged the Reivers in front only for Cutler to square the match at 5 – 5.
Springwell C team were involved in a close first division match with the Chinese Association B team, winning 6 – 4 despite not being able to defeat Robin Francis. Robert Renton and Charlie Mouzon got two each.
John Carr and John Fisher both won twice at home as YMCA N.Tyneside A team just got the better of Matfen C in Division two. They also took the doubles and Don Catley managed one. Nigel Tree and Mark Perrin were both on the scoreboard twice for the visitors. 
Young Adam Webster was player of the match with three victories as Cramlington Corinthians defeated  YMCA B team in Division Three. He was backed up by another young player Andrew Matfin who got two  and the two of them also won the doubles. Ray Pini got a couple  for the YM
Two of the young Cramlington teams in Division Four shared the points when the Ravens entertained the Lions. Tim Bryce was unbeaten in singles and doubles for the home side with MacKenzie Clark getting one while Joe Hastings and Sree Kanakala got  two each and Daniel McManus one for the Lions.
