Half term report from Chairman

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year to you all.

Time for an update with regard to championships, coaching, individual knockout etc.

We had good attendance with the Friday night and Sunday morning coaching sessions until the untimely flood at the Academy which has closed the hall since mid November. This has affected the town championships original date.

However we will commence coaching in the school hall next week starting 12th January 6-30pm until 8pm.

Sunday mornings will re start 14th January 10am until 11-30am. Hopefully some of you are able to attend.

The town championships will be the weekend 17th  18th March. Entry forms will soon be out. This enables the repair work, a complete new floor covering, to be completed.

You must all be aware of the work being undertaken at the Ambleside club which is normally used for division 2 individual KO's. Therefore with limited availability of other venues to hold the event we will play div 2 in April which you have already been informed. Hopefully you will all appreciate the problems and work with your committee to ensure we work around our problems.

We are holding a games evening in March to raise extra funds for the league with our on going development programme. Hopefully most of you will attend. The information regarding the games evening will be sent out within the next week.

Look out for our presentation night on 12th May. We are celebration 80 years of Table Tennis in Nuneaton. The guest is Sandra Deaton, Chairman of Table Tennis England who has accepted our invitation. This is our chance to show off our great league to the top person of Table Tennis in England. Prior to attending  Sandra will be in Australia attending the Commonwealth Games and on her return present our trophies.

Enjoy the second half of our season

Kind Regards,

Bob
