What a phenomenal day at the Oldham Closed Championships. We started off with the Over 40s, Over 50s and the Juniors in the morning, Alex Darlington winning his Junior group by beating Sophie Newton in the group stage but with Sophie finishing 2nd in the group, they avoided each other in the semi-final and met again, with Alex looking to win the Junior title for a 2nd consecutive year and Sophie looking to get her first Junior title, it was Sophie who prevailed in 4 sets, winning 3-1.
