Qualified Umpires officiate at top-level table tennis matches – including county championships, British League, Open Tournaments and International Matches. You can start as a County Umpire, and then progress through National Umpire to International Umpires. Qualifying as a County Umpire simply involves taking a written test and successfully completing practical assessments. Experienced Umpires can then go on to become Tournament Referees. Out-of-pocket expenses for officials are met by Table Tennis England.
So if would you like to have the best seat in the house and be the umpire at a match involving top-level players then you should qualify as an Umpire. To find out more, contact the Oxfordshire Umpires Secretary, Jan Crompton, by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org
