PTTC Youth Centre Project

Supported by TTE under the Keep It In The Loop programme PTTC have gone into Partnership with the Portishead Youth Centre to make Table Tennis part of their weekly activities.

I was contacted by TTE about the Keep It In The Loop program that provides free or heavily subsidised TT equipment for Community based projects. Muz & I met with Kim the Youth Worker at the Youth Centre and we agreed to run a weekly session for them every Monday evening. Initially this session is 7.30pm - 8.30pm but we have the option to extend it to 9.30pm if we get sufficient interest.

They have a couple of tables at the Youth Centre already but I was able to get them a brand new table and lots of starter bats and balls. The hall they have there should allow us to run a three table session.

Following the completion of our grade 1 coaching course on 8th April Muz and I are very excited about getting this off the ground and there will be scope for other PTTC members to get involved once we have it up and running.

Below is the publicity poster that the Youth Centre are putting out to advertise the sessions.

This is potentially another great development for the club so lets hope it proves to be a huge success.

We are PTTC COME ON :)
