Illness and injury seems to be hitting almost every team in the league and some clubs are struggling to find players to make up the numbers in all their teams, often at the last minute. This results in some surprising results and scores, but it has to be expected in the winter months.
Outstanding matches have now been completed and with only 9 weeks left, top positions and relegation teams are becoming clearer, but now is the time to give it that extra push. Little has changed in the league positions, but there have been some tough matches and the odd surprising win.
With all the first half matches completed, the next 10 weeks will see fights for top honours in the Premier Division, with promotion and relegation battles being fought throughout.
With only a couple of matches still outstanding due to unavoidable postponements, the first half is complete and some clear favourites for promotion are beginning to appear, as well as those in the relegation zone.
The Sentinel Cup and Bradwell Handicap matches are being played next week with some teams having two matches, but it will see both events down to the semi-final stages.
With the first half already over, there is still one match to go before the seasonal break and some teams are due to be back in action on New Year’s Day, but matches can be played earlier or in the same week, so now’s the time to be making alternative arrangements.
