After week 7

While Ball Green teams dominate the Premier Division, some of their other teams are now coming into contention in the other two Divisions. Whilst it is another few weeks before the match of the titans in the Premier Division between the A and B teams, the E team of Tony Stanway Cyril Merriman, Dave and will Ferry in Division 1 had a great 7-3 win over previous leaders Penkhull C, who now drop to the third spot.  The other Ball Green team coming into the picture is their K team in Division 2, consisting of Stephan Stirland, Ken Humphries, Daniel Brownsword and John Brooks, who move into second place after an 8-2 win over the MESC E team, now pushed down into fourth.

For those who have played at least 50% of matches, top of the averages in the Premier Division are Chris Bail and Paul Malkin, both of the Ball Green A team with a 100% record and Mark Evans from the B team also has over 90%. Also in the top 10 are Gareth Dun from Bradwell A, Stephen Thomas from MESC A and Stephen Stringer from Crewe Post Office. Division 1 sees 3 players still with 100% records, again having played 50% or more matches and these are Robert Majkut from Penkhull C, Robert Rhodes from Penkhull B and John Dawson from Kidsgrove B and Mircea Ionel from Penkhull B also has over 90%.  There is only 1 player in Division 2 with a 100% record and that is Stefan Derricutt from Kidsgrove D, but 15 year old Daniel Brownsword from Ball Green K has over 90%.

Next week’s match to watch in the Premier Division is Ball Green A playing hosts to Crewe Post Office, currently in third spot, while Bradwell A and Penkhull A, fourth and fifth, meet at Penkhull on Wednesday.

Penkhull B are in top place in the Premier Division, but only 1 point behind are Ball Green E, Penkhull C and Kidsgrove B. Next Thursday Penkhull C take on Kidsgrove B and it could all change again at the top.
