At the weekend our very own Paul Melling and Nick Roberts met in the semi-final of the Div3 Singles competition in Southport League.  Both had progressed through the group stages and after a nail-biting five sets Paul was the eventual winner and he went through to the final.

The final was played last night and Paul won 3-1.  Interviewed after the match, whilst still heady from his victory, he had this to say ...

“It was a great feeling to win the Div3 title but it doesn’t equal the feeling of taking a game off Geoff Pye at The Hut of Dreams”.
