Obituary - Melvyn Lovegrove

It is with great sadness we have to report that Melvyn Lovegrove passed away recently at the age of 70.

Melvyn played for Kingfisher for many years before transferring to SC&P in 2018. While at Sonning Common he was always keen to attend practise sessions and in 2019/20 he captained a side which won division 4 - his team including Simon Berry, Mark Berry and Marko Madzar.

Melvyn was known to hundreds as a player on the veterans’ circuit and as the Women’s British League and Veterans British League photographer.  [See TTE Article]

He moved to Lincolnshire in 2020 to be nearer his brother. He was a keen angler and table tennis player, both of which he continued to enjoy to the full up in Lincolnshire.

He will be sadly missed.

Melvyn Lovegrove
