LS.M. B won a narrow victory at Scorpions E last week as John Bradshaw and Steve Wilson took braces for the visitors whilst Lewis Ellams and Alex Selway won braces for the home team. Phil Cockayne added one for LSM and the doubles sealed it 6-4.

Scorpions C maintained their good run at the top of the League with an 8-2 win over their B team. James Grayson and Alan Battye both with Maximums and Alex Bland supporting with one. Scorpions A and LSM A had a very hard fought draw at LSM with Darren Lindley winning three for the home team, with two from James Houghton. Mark Johnson did best for the visitors with two wins. Scorpions C remain top with LSM A second and Scorpions A third.

Division Three saw Clifton E at home to Scorpions J. All three Clifton players won two of their three all losing out to the star of the night Amy Marriott who beat Alan Redfern, Peter Gateley and Francis Lovell, thought the match was 7-3 to the home team. Meanwhile Scorpions H got a thrashing from Stuart Element, Eric Twigg and Eric Hall of Phoenix F. Riley Astle managed to squeeze past Eric Twigg in the last set of the night. 9-1 to Phoenix, Element and Hall with hat-tricks.

Mick Jarvis, Phil Walton and Craig Straw playing for Phoenix A’s had an easy 9-1 win over Clifton A last week. Jarvis and Straw both winning maximums whilst Russ Clayton and Terry Curran scored for the visitors. But then they lost to their B team in their most recent fixture this week. Cliff Glaves snr taking 3 for the B team helped by 2 from Eddie Fogg and 2 from Glen Carson. That puts the B team and A team in equal 4th spot.
