Congratulations go to Rougham UKCC Level 2 Coach Ray Stapleton who at The Bury St. Edmunds & District Table Tennis League AGM held on the 22nd May 2017, was elected a Life Member in recognition of 20 years service including 14 years in senior positions.

Holly, Riya and Isobel have enjoyed a successful couple of weeks collecting trophies at the Bury St Edmunds & District League Championships and Suffolk Junior Championships. Holly was the stand out performer winning 20 of 21 singles matches over the two events and collecting four titles.

Ten Rougham Club members feature in the recently issued Suffolk County Table Tennis Association’s ranking lists for 2016/2017 :

For the 2016/2017 season the Club has entered five teams in the Bury St Edmunds & District League, three teams in the Suffolk & Cambs Border Junior League, one team in the National Cadet League and one team in the National Junior League.

At the Suffolk County Table Tennis Association AGM held on 28th June, Rougham club enjoyed a clean sweep of awards. The Outstanding Player of the Year (Doris Fox Trophy) was awarded to Holly McGerty while the Young Improver of the Year was awarded to younger sister Isobel McGerty.

ROUGHAM TABLE TENNIS CLUB – 2015/2016 SEASON

Bury St Edmunds LeagueIn the Bury St Edmunds League programme Rougham Lions finished in sixth place out of eight teams, Rougham Rangers finished in seventh place out of nine teams.
