Club Report October 6th 2013
The shining stars in the ascendency this week are the Comets who have gone top in the Northumberland league Division 4 with a 10 – 0 win over Cramlington Magpies. Colin Pritchard, Nikki and Debbie Irwin swept all before them to take top spot, well done, keep it up and its promotion next year.
The Bombers were a little unlucky in their game and with Dan Nicholson winning two and Nigel winning one and the Bombers winning the doubles they went down 6-4 to St Gabriels C
The Chargers had a bad night at St Johns A who have just come down from League 2 and showed their experience by winning 10-0 against Barry Dingwall, Paul Henderson and in his debut game John Reid.
The Desperadoes were also up against a very skilled Lanchester team and failed to get any points, but with an average age of 13 the team of Haydn Williamson, Oliver Turnbull and Jack Pugh can only get better.
Games this week are
09/10/2013 | Weds | Bombers | Away | Redby A |
10/10/2013 | Thurs | Desperadoes | Away | St Johns B |
11/10/2013 | Fri | Aces | Home | Thompson Ins A |
11/10/2013 | Fri | Chargers | Home | St John C |
The final two tables were moved up to Fyndoune this week and six more barriers so it should mean less chasing around for table tennis balls. here is still some work needed when we transfer tables from one Hall to the other. Two tables need repairing(welding) any offers of help out there?, and one table won’t open, are there any engineers in the club who could give advice?
The first Move into Sport session was held at the Sports Hall on Friday and 13 people have been signed up.
The Club is involved in a Tri Club tournament at Bishop Auckland on Sunday Oct 27th and we need teams of 4 under 18s’s and 4 under 15’s with trophies up for grabs in a tournament with Bishop Auckland and Lanchester.
