Chargers V Desperadoes

End of the season for Chargers with own club derby against the highly motivated Oliver Turnbull, Haydn Williamson and Luke Dumighan for Desperadoes who did not mess about from the starting set of games with both Oliver Turnbull and Luke Dumighan taking their matches in 3 ends. The next three again proved fruitful with Haydn and Oliver taking 2 and in the final set of three Oliver again took his game giving him player of the match and both  Luke and Haydn took theirs giving them a lead of 7-2 leaving the doubles which went to the Chargers giving a final score of 7-3 to the Desperadoes.

Please note that all members wishing to play in the Winter league must register with Table Tennis England before they can play a game. They must also register with the Sunderland league.  A Sunderland league registration form will be emailed to members so that they can register..

For those who played in the Durham Friendly league there is a competition organised into age groups including seniors taking place on Saturday September  13th at Darlington. Registration forms will be emailed to eligible members.

Presentation night for the Durham Friendly league takes place at Brandon table tennis Club on Thursday August 28th starting at 6.30. The following will receive trophies. Jack Pugh, Charlie Coates, Haydn Williamson, Oliver King, Geoff Sykes, Charlie Miller, Jack Preston and Chris Jennings.

There is a 2 star competition for Juniors being held at Bishop Auckland on Sunday August 31st
