Brandon D V Desperadoes

A local derby between Desperadoes and Brandon D who are vying for the wooden spoon and the shares were spoiled in a tense affair between two well matched teams. Desperadoes travelled with the reliable John Reid, regular Michael Lishman, and stand in Chris Jennings, who is starting to improve his game.

Brandon had Val Lough Barry Dunn and the improving Abbie Maddison. John Reid took player of the match winning all his singles and the doubles with Michael, but only Michael could chip in with a singles win for Chargers, giving Abbie and Barry 2 wins each, and Val one victory for Brandon to split the points 5-5

Chargers v Lanchester B

After a good start to the season, Chargers have been falling away and need some points to avoid relegation. Against one of the better teams in the league they turned out Regulars Peter Whitfield and Dennis Jennings but also included the improving Haydn Williamson to give him experience at a higher level. Lanchester had one of their stronger teams with Adam Butler Lyndsey Beacham and Liam Ord. Unfortunately the youngsters of Lanchester were too powerful and with their exciting attacking play ran out 7-3 winners with only Peter Whitfield (2) and Dennis Jennings putting points on the board. Haydn had some good performances taking two players to 4 ends but eventually going down.
