Priory Night Now discontinued

I have now cancelled the bookings at the Priory for the foreseeable future.

These nights have become extremely difficult to organise after I have been organising for some years now. The Priory have had to cancel our bookings for five weeks so far this term due to staff difficulties, although they have plans to solve this in the future. This makes it very difficult to keep going on a stop start basis, letting people know (which I have done through this website) but also has shown in the decreasing numbers attending, causing it to run regularly at a loss so far this term, despite a slight increase in charges.

This will clearly become a bigger problem in the future now that several of the regulars now playing in the league at the new Shrewsbury TT academy at the old Grange School also on a Thursday night (details in an earlier post on this website) .

For those who want to continue practising you will need to adjust your diaries to Wednesdays as regular sessions are now running at the Academy from 7:00- 10:00 on that night, with the possibility of more nights becoming available in the future. Bill Howarth is the man running this there who has big plans to develop Table Tennis further in Shrewsbury. (again see the earlier post regarding sessions there)
