All big wins at the top of the First Division, the most impressive being the current champions and leaders Torbay Academy 1’s 9-1 defeat of Brixham Sharks.  Kris Piwowar and Patrik Cincala took maximums, whilst Sharks’ Rory Harries had a very rare zero. Adam Shipway picked up the Sharks’ point with a fine victory over Paul Myatt.  Second placed NA Buzzards recorded an 8-2 victory over Brixham Gulls, with Kevin Nicholls and Jon Cheung gaining maximums for the Buzzards. To complete Brixham’s misery in the First Division, their Pirates’ side lost 10-0 to NA Batmen.

By contrast in Division Two, the Brixham clubs’ fortunes changed, as Brixham Seals climbed to the top of the table with a narrow 6-4 victory over Torbay Academy 3, and Bob Parkins was unbeaten for the Seals. Brixham Trawlers’ team of Alan Maynard, Allen Pack and Ian Saxby recorded their first whitewash victory for a long time at the expense of Torbay Academy 4.  A Giles Tushingham maximum for the NA Falcons helped his side to a 6-4 win over club mates NA Eagles.  Helen Glover and Dave Atkin were in fine form as Marldon’s impressive start to the season continued with a 7-3 victory over Taverners.

Denbury Tykes go marching on in the Third Division, as Paul Hine, Pat & Huw Darch defeated Hasbeens 9-1 to open a 10-point gap at the top.  Brixham Dolphins also recorded a 9-1 victory to move into the runners-up spot. Chris Meah and Keith Williams got maximums for the Dolphins as they defeated Torbay Academy 5.  A fine performance from Steve Tucker for Torre Tigers was not enough as his side went down 4-6 to Marldon Tykes. A fine all-round performance from Dawlish Diamonds saw off the challenge from NA Kestrels, 7-3.

The Fourth Division is wide open as the top two sides both lost this week. NA Owls went down 7-3 at Torre, as Andrew Davies and Robert Excell secured maximums for the Torres R Us side.  Torbay Academy 7 were beaten by their stablemates Academy 6, Neville Cregan unbeaten for the higher-ranked team, as they also won 7-3.  Another Tim Shears maximum for NA Vultures was all the points they gained as they went down 7-3 to Dawlish Drifters.  Robert Ferguson was unbeaten as he helped his NA Ospreys side to a share of the points at Brixham against the Swifts.  NA Kites, with Lewis Short and Richard Salt to the fore, returned from a trip to Dawlish with an 8-2 victory over the Dodgers.
