Torbay Academy 1 retain their Division one title despite losing their first match of the season. NA Batmen inflicted a first defeat on the champions, winning 6-4, despite a fine maximum from the Academy’s Jakub Piwowar. Dad, Kris, joined Jakub to try and save the match in the final doubles but lost out to the Gibbs father and son partnership 12-10 in the fifth. NA Buzzards finish in third, behind their Batmen colleagues, following a 9-1 win over Brixham Gulls, Herbie Sage and Kevin Nicholls were again unbeaten for the Buzzards. Making it a clean sweep for the Newton Abbot teams in the top division the NA Condors team of Mark Burridge, Giles and Yannick Tushingham whitewashed Halwell.

With the top two in the second division not playing the focus was on the bottom of the table. Basement side Denbury Tykes picked up six useful points as they beat Taverners 6-4, but still look destined to finish at the foot of the table. The two sides just above the Tykes saw Marldon, with a maximum from Helen Glover, defeat Brixham Trawlers 6-4. Nicholas Shipley and Allen Pack were unbeaten as Brixham Pirates beat NA Falcons 8-2.
Torbay Academy 3’s 9-1 victory over strugglers Brixham Dolphins puts them in the driving seat at the top of the third division as their rivals, Marldon Tykes, dropped points in a 5-5 draw with NA Hawks. Ben Hoare and Lucas Bradshaw with maximums for the Academy and Ben Swettenham with a maximum for the Hawks. Martin Charlesworth was undefeated as his Dawlish Diamonds were beaten 6-4 by Torbay Academy 4. Torbay Academy 5, with Jamie McGuire in fine form, shared the points in a 5-5 draw with NA Kestrels.

Fourth Division champions Hasbeens, with Alan Tyrrell and Mike Coxhead unbeaten, defeated NA Owls 6-4. In second place the Torre Titans side of Chris Harper, Robert Excell and Bill Keywood whitewashed Torbay Academy 6. NA Kites move into third place with a fine 8-2 win over Torre Panthers, Josh Redfern with another maximum for the Kites. Steve Tucker and Jean Neafcy maximums helped Torre Tigers to an 8-2 victory over Dawlish Drifters.

Torbay Academy 7’s 6-4 victory over second placed NA Ospreys secured the title for the Academy side, Kacper Piwowar with another maximum for the champions. NA Vultures, with Quillan Wilson unbeaten, shared the points with Brixham Seals.
