There were two girls teams competing - St Bede (Pippa Knight, Zara Webb, Emily Steven and Kitty Manning) and Fair Oak Primary from Eastleigh. St Bede won 13-3.
Also represented from Winchester were Harestock Primary with Panos, Fred, JJ and Ben, and Western Primary, with Ben Foster, Louis Addey, Jacob Caldwell and Arthur Key.
In the 1st round of the Knock Out Competition Western primary (Ben Foster, Louis Addey, Jacob Caldwell and Arthur Key) had quite a tussle against Fair Oak A. Ben Foster took on Reuben Kimber to decide which team progressed to the next round. In a tough match Ben ran out the winner.
St Bede (Danny Klinger, Jack Birch, Harvey Cross and Stanley Damant) won their group beating Fair Oak B 4-0 and St Francis A also 4-0. In the knockout stage they beat Harestock Primary School 4-0 but Danny struggled to beat Panos finally overcoming him 11-7, 10-12 11-8.
In the final, Western Primary took on St Bede A. Apart from a hard match between the No 1's for each team - Ben Foster for Western and Danny Klinger from St Bede - the St Bede team ran out comfortable winners.
The winning girls and boys teams from St Bede will go forward to the Hampshire Primary Schools finals at Waterside TTC on Monday 28 November.
