week 10

Division 1:

Forest Green A beat the visiting Yate 7-3 thanks in part to a maximum from Louis Price for the home side, a result which takes them within eight points of league leaders Thornbury A at the halfway point in the season. Phoenix A managed to edge a win over the visiting Frampton B with Dave Hadley returning a max for the Phoenix club in a 6-4 win. Phoenix B and Cirencester shared the points at five apiece when the two sides met in Nailsworth, Ian Heskins was man of the match scoring a hat trick for the visitors. Frampton A suffered an 8-2 defeat against the visiting Woodchester B, Clive Ellison was man of the match winning three singles.


Division 2:

Although they were without a match this week Randwick A sit comfortably at the top of the division at the half way mark. Cam A recorded a fine 8-2 home win over the visiting Forest Green B with Harry Prescott scoring a maximum. It was a close fought match between Frampton C and the visiting Phoenix C, the visitors edged out their hosts 6-4 but no one player was able to dominate. Dave Pugh went unbeaten for Nailsworth A as they defeated the visiting two player Whiteshill A 7-3.


Division 3:

Woodchester D suffered a 3-7 defeat at the hands of the visiting Whiteshill C, who are in joint top position thanks to a Neil Wilkins maximum. Randwick D beat the visiting Phoenix D 6-4 in a match that no one player could dominate. Phoenix F move joint top thanks to a hard fought 8-2 victory over their Phoenix E club mates, Sam McIvor and Jon Ramsbotham were undefeated in singles and doubles.  


Division 4:

Frampton D defeated their Cam C hosts 7-3, but it was George Thomas who was man of the match for Cam as he scored all their points. The result takes Frampton to joint top at the midpoint of the season. Forest Green C share the top place with them on sixty two points after beating the visiting two player Nailsworth C, Allan Norman and Alex Edwards were both unbeaten for the home side. Nailsworth B took some revenge when they beat the visiting Forest Green D 8-2, Alun Davies scored a max for the home side and was man of the match. In a close fought Phoenix derby the G team came out on top beating the H team 6-4 in a match that no one player could dominate.
