Division 1:

Table topping Thornbury A narrowly beat their hosts Yate 6-4, with Dave Reeves scoring a max for the visitors. Woodchester B had a comfortable 8-2 victory over the visiting Cirencester, Clive Ellison and Tony Clarkson were both on good form scoring maximums. Despite Liwu Wei scoring a max with a man of the match performance his Phoenix B side still lost 7-3 at Frampton A.

Division 2:

Phoenix C move eighteen points clear at the top of the division after c comfortable 9-1 victory over the visiting Frampton C, Andy Stratford and Connor Ward both undefeated in singles and doubles. Thornbury B move into second place after defeating the visiting Whiteshill A 7-3, Mark Attwood scoring a max for the home team. Forest Green B comfortably beat the visiting Whiteshill B 9-1 thanks to maximums from Craig Smart and Jimmy Haycraft. Dave Pugh made the difference with a maximum as Nailsworth A beat the visiting Woodchester C in a close tussle, match result 6-4.  

Division 3:

Thornbury C move to the top of the division after leaving Randwick C with a 7-3 victory thanks in the main to Len Pattison and Viv Wilkie scoring maximums. Phoenix D went down 6-4 “away” to Phoenix E who were inspired by an Andy Jarvis maximum. Cam A and the visiting Woodchester D shared the points at five all, Colin Bruton was man of the match scoring three for the visitors. Two player Forest Green C won the doubles but nothing else as they lost 1-9 at home to Whiteshill C, for whom Gary Tyndall, Andy Taylor and Allan Lardner were unbeaten. A second match in a week for Woodchester D, this time saw them win 7-3 at Randwick B, Roger Davis going unbeaten for the visitors.

Division 4:

It’s becoming a three horse race at the top of the division with Phoenix G holding top spot at the moment after beating their J team club mates 8-2, Chris Hampton scoring a hat trick for the home team. Randwick D hold onto second place but could not break down a resilient Phoenix H losing 6-4 in a match that no one player could dominate. Cam B held onto third place after leaving Nailsworth B with an 8-2 victory in which Tony Averis and Paul Stewart were unbeaten. Cam C recorded their first match win of the season when they defeated the visiting Forest Green D 6-4 although no one player could dominate. Phoenix I beat the visiting Frampton D 6-4 but it was Frampton’s Glan Watkins who was man of the match, scoring a maximum.
