Thornbury A need just three more points to win the division one title after beating the visiting Phoenix A 8-2, Dave Reeves was man of the match winning all his three singles for the home side. Dave Harvey returned a maximum for his Forest Green A side but they were held to a draw at home to Phoenix B. Yate had a comfortable 9-1 victory against the visiting Cirencester, Andy Cox and Will Berkley both going unbeaten for Yate. Frampton A beat the visiting Woodchester B 7-3, but it was Tony Clarkson who was man of the match scoring all of Woodchester’s points.
Phoenix C, are champions elect of division two after beating local rivals Forest Green B 7-3, Connor Ward and Andy Stratford again were undefeated in singles on the night. Woodchester C recorded a 6-4 victory against the visiting two player Pessimists, but Barry Morgan was man of the match, scoring a hat trick of wins for the visitors. Thornbury B kept up their good recent form, this time beating their Randwick A hosts 7-3. Gavin Rogers and Mark Attwood scored a maximum each for the Thornbury team. A weakened Nailsworth A were beaten 2-8 at home to Whiteshill B, Chris Varley and Lee Callum each scored a max for the visitors.
Phoenix D secured top spot in division three when they defeated a weakened Thornbury C 6-4 at Thornbury, Steve Biles was man of the match winning all his three singles for the home side. Cam A have put themselves into a strong position for runners up after beating Phoenix E 6-4 away but it was Joe Sheppard who was man of the match winning three singles for the home side. Whiteshill C are having a strong finish to the season as they defeated their Randwick C hosts 9-1, Neil Wilkins and Andy Taylor each retuning maximums. At the bottom of the table, a Tony Poole maximum helped Forest Green C to a 7-3 victory at local rivals Phoenix F.
Division four is proving to be the closest of all the divisions. With just two matches left there are just two points separating the top three sides. Randwick D have moved into top place after beating Nailsworth B 9-1 away, with Jim Hurford and George Morris each winning three. Cam B move into second place, which they share on points with Phoenix G, after beating the visiting Phoenix J 8-2. Fintan Small and Bev Browning each scored a max for the home side. Phoenix G were held to a five all draw at home to Randwick E for whom Tom Gill top scored with a maximum. Forest Green D and Frampton D shared the points at five all with Ciaran Bryden finishing as man of the match, scoring a max for the home side. And in a Phoenix derby between the I and H teams the sides could not be separated and it finished at five apiece, Sacha Curzon was man of the match scoring a hat trick for the I team.
