Nailsworth Phoenix A got their season off to a good start with a convincing 8-2 victory over the visiting
Cirencester with David Hadley recording a maximum for the home side. At this early stage of the season Woodchester A share the top spot as they beat their hosts, Nailsworth Phoenix B 8-2. Top man for the visitors was Lee Thomas who won all his singles. In a closer match, Yate entertained Forest Green A, but it was the visitors who left with six points thanks in part to Dave Harvey who scored a maximum.
Nailsworth Phoenix C take an early lead at the top of the division after beating newly promoted Woodchester C 9-1. Mike Davis and Arran Skinner were both unbeaten on the night for the visitors. Craig Smart and John Pobjoy both returned maximums for Forest Green B as they had a comfortable 8-2 victory over the visiting Whiteshill B. Last years division leaders suffered a 3-7 home defeat against Frampton C but no one player could exert total control. Newly promoted Nailsworth Phoenix D struggled against an experienced Thornbury B team but Sam McIvor was man of the match for the home team scoring a max and keeping the score respectable at 4-6.
Woodchester D suffered a 1-9 defeat at home to Randwick D, William Snell and Daniel Lloyd-Birchall each scored a max for the visitors. Forest Green C also suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of a Randwick team, Jim Hurford and Lincoln Green both scored maximums as Randwick C ran out 8-2 winners. Thornbury C had a comfortable 91 victory over the visiting Nailsworth Phoenix F with Stephen Biles and Tracy Dibble going unbeaten. Nailsworth A had a similarly comfortable victory over the visiting Nailsworth Phoenix E team running out 9-1 winners with a max for Dave Pugh and Alan Welsh.
Paul Stewart, Joe Collins and Harry Hogan were all unbeaten as Cam B inflicted a whitewash on the visiting Nailsworth C. Cam C beat the visiting Nailsworth Phoenix I team 7-3 thanks to a maximum from Bev Browning for the hosts. Nailsworth B entertained Nailsworth Phoenix G and it was the visitors who came away with a 7-3 win thanks to a max from Sacha Curzon. Brian Cullis was unbeaten and helped Frampton D to a 6-4 win against the visiting Forest Green D. Nailsworth Phoenix H entertained the visiting Thornbury D and thanks to a max for Alan Fisher for the visitors they left with a 6-4 victory.
