John Catterall

Some of you will already know the very sad news of John Catterall.

On Wednesday night (22nd Nov) John was playing the game that he loved for Nailsworth Phoenix, at Nailsworth Primary School against Randwick D. During the match John was feeling unwell, he was sat down and as things were obviously wrong, his captain, Cliff Jordan immediately rang for an ambulance. In spite of the best efforts from Cliff and everyone there and the paramedics when they arrived, John sadly passed away from what I believe was a heart attack.

Our thoughts are with John's family and on behalf of the club we would like to thank everyone who did everything they could for John on the night.

Many Thanks

Andy Hammond

The SDTTL also wish to extend their condolences John's family, and the Nailsworth Phoenix Club at this difficult time.
