week 7

Division 1:

Woodchester A came out best in the top of the table clash with Forest Green A when the two sides met at Woodchester. Lee Thomas returned a maximum for the home team to make him man of the match and give his side a 7-3 victory. Dave Hadley went unbeaten for Phoenix A as they scored a convincing 7-3 win over the visiting Thornbury A. The points were shared at five apiece when Cirencester entertained Yate, Tom Watmore was man of the match with a hat trick for the home club who could only field two players.

Division 2:

Craig Smart scored a maximum for Forest Green B as they shared a five all draw with the visiting Woodchester C. Phoenix C maintain their spot at the top of the table following a 7-3 victory away to Frampton C, Bob Waters scoring a fine maximum for the visitors. No one player could dominate the match when Phoenix D entertained Randwick A, but it was the visitors who left with a 6-4 victory.

Division 3:

Nailsworth A remain in top spot in the division despite losing 7-3 at Whiteshill C, Dave Pugh was man of the match as he scored all of the visitor’s points. Woodchester D inflicted a whitewash over the visiting Forest Green C. Colin Bruton, Tony Poole and Mike Hanks were the unbeaten trio. Jim Hurford scored a max and led his team, Randwick C, to a 7-3 victory over the visiting Phoenix F. 

Division 4:

Cam & Dursley B maintain their assault on the division title, this time at the expense of their C team club mates. The home side of George Thomas, Tony Averis and Harry Hogan showed no mercy as they comfortably won ten nil. Richard Wright was unbeaten on the night to help Forest Green D defeat two player Phoenix I 6-4. Phoenix G keep in the hunt for the runners up position as they came away from Thornbury D with an eight two victory thanks to top scores from Chris Hampton and Fadi Dahdouh. Phoenix H keep up the pressure on their G team club mates after they beat the visiting Frampton D 9-1 thanks to maximums from Fred Donald and Edward Loader.
