Dave Hadley scored a maximum and was man of the match for Phoenix A when they shared the points at five apiece with the visiting Forest Green A. Cirencester were well beaten at home by Woodchester B losing 2-8, with Clive Ellison and Billy Shilton scoring a max each for the visitors. Phoenix B also suffered a 2-8 home defeat at the hands of Frampton A, Abu Salehbhai finished as man of the match with a max for the visitors. Andy Cox scored a maximum and led his team to a 7-3 victory on their visit to Frampton B.
Forest Green B and Whiteshill B shared the points at five all when the two sides met at Forest Green although no one player could dominate. Randwick A ensured they stay well clear at the top of the division with a 7-3 away win at their closest rivals Thornbury B, although it was the home side’s Mark Attwood who finished as man of the match with a maximum. Whiteshill A won a close match against the visiting Phoenix C 6-4 thanks in part to a fine maximum from Steve Greening.
Woodchester D 5, Randwick D 5, was the score when the two sides met but no player from either side was able to remain unbeaten. Cam B produced a good team performance when they beat their fellow strugglers Phoenix E 7-3 at home with all the home side producing two wins each. Randwick C drew their home match against Thornbury C at five all but it was the visiting Craig Skeldon who was man of the match with a maximum. Bruce Ind returned a maximum for the visiting Phoenix D when they played and beat their Whiteshill C hosts 6-4.
Cam C were at home to only two visiting players from Phoenix G, but maximums from both Andy and Fred Donald plus a doubles win ensured that father and son left for home happy with a 7-3 win. Thornbury D lost 2-8 at home to Randwick E for whom Lincoln Green was man of the match with a maximum. For the second week in a row both Alun and Mark Davies went unbeaten in singles play as their Nailsworth B team beat the visiting Forest Green C 6-4. Meanwhile on the same night and just down the hill, Forest Green D inflicted a 6-4 win against the visitors from Nailsworth C with Mike May unbeaten for the away side. Frampton D recorded a comfortable 8-2 victory against the visiting Phoenix H with Brian Cullis returning a maximum for the home side.
