Forest Green A entertained Yate and were beaten 6-4 by the visitors although no one player could dominate in a tight tussle. Woodchester A left Cirencester with a 7-3 victory thanks to a man of the match performance from James Ashton who was unbeaten on the night. The points were shared at five apiece when Frampton A entertained Thornbury A with the visiting Dave Reeves scoring a hat trick. Sam McIvor scored a maximum and was man of the match for Phoenix C (who had a combined age of 40) as they dispatched the visitors from Woodchester B 6-4.
Thornbury B were made to suffer at the hands of the visiting Frampton B, the visitors left with a 7-3 victory thanks to maximum scores from man of the match Bob Murray and Steve Porter. Randwick A whitewashed their B team club mates with Steve Charlwood, William Snell and Lincoln Green dropping only three games between them. Whiteshill A beat the visiting Cam & Dursley A 6-4, Toby Harris finished as man of the match scoring a max for the hosts. Frampton C and Forest Green B drew five all in this meeting at Frampton Community Centre but it was the visiting Alan Giles who produced a classy man of the match performance, winning his three singles.
Woodchester D had a comfortable 9-1 victory against the visiting Phoenix G, Colin Bruton and Mike Hanks each returned maximums for the home side. Barry Jordan scored a max for Whiteshill B as they drew five all with the visiting Cam & Dursley B.
Cam & Dursley C lost 4-6 at home to the visiting Phoenix I with Howard Spellman weaving a magic three wins for the away side. Thornbury D and Frampton D were not separated on the score sheet in a five all draw but the visitors Glan Watkins was unbeaten in singles play for the visitors. Edward Loader scored a fine maximum for Phoenix H but he couldn’t prevent his side going down 3-7 to the experienced Randwick D team.
